I am very bugged right now. You go through trouble to write a long blog and this bloody, lousy machine does not save it. Feel like throttling this damn thing. Anyway , my last blog was on commuications. Shall type it again when i in the mood to do it. This stupid keyboard is not workig again. All things go bad at the same time.

OF NEGATIVES AND POSITIVES
Well, me and my good friend ( dont know whether to mention him or not) have been doing a lot of talking lately. We both have a problem. We both think that to be cynical and sarcastic is cool, chic whatever. But now we realise that we have ended up becoming the very people we cant stand. Thats what ungrace does to you, I believe. Everyone i know has told me what a negative attitude I have. I used to think its a result of me having seen the negative side, the bad side of people. But now I realise its not that. Everyone has bad experiences and has met irritating people. Someone once told me that its impossible to find a perfect wotrking unit where you get along with everyone. Also experience is what you make of what happens to you. Not everyone is perfect and all of us need thast elusive quality called grace. And then I realised that what a cynical world we live in. We have lost grace towards each other and even towards ourselves. Wonder if thet is the cause of the rot we see in society. Until the next instalment on this thread. Gotta get back to my PG studies now. Time beckons.

IN AWE OF THE TIMELESS GOD
Have just been reading the works of Dr.Francis Schaeffer. Fascinating mind. Yet so humble and in awe of God. I mean he talks with clarity and precision and makes such a complicated topic sound so easy and yet his absolute awe of God is amazing. Wish I could have that. Come to think of it we all thank God for what He has done for us and for qualities that pertain to our day to day life (viz. holiness, love etc etc) But how many times do we actually thank and are in awe of God for being just that- God?? Im sure all of us do it sometime but Im equally sure that it is not as often as our gratitude for things more in perspective for us. I think I need to realise as a Christian that even if I was not born again and even if Jesus would not have done what He did, He would still be God. As Schaeffer says, God was the personal being before the world began and thats what separates us from the philosophies of the world. Hallelujah. Praise God. We worship such a Timeless and Eternal God. Come to think of it, God never needed us to have a relationship with Him. He chose to create us. He had the Trinity. Sometimes I wonder how small my thinking and living has become. If only I could practise in reality the presence of God in my life, what a powerful life I would be li ving,

CHANGE OF PLANS
Its amazing how priorities change. How one's perceptions and thought processes change and how we as humans can justify any wrongs that we do. Well right now, I am in Medical ICU and have occasionally busy days. But not as the rest of our docs. But even, then it can be pretty stressful at times. In this case talking to patients and their relatives is so tough and so irritating, that one almost forgets that these guys are human beings in need of our sympathy. We treat these patients , but how? We think that by starting these chaps on central lines or doing impressive procedures on them we are doing them a favour, but we forget patient dignity and their wants. And whats so funny is that as students how self righteous and judgemental we were towards the then registrars. Robin Cook was right whan he said said," Internhip and residency are the years which are made to make you into a good doctor and destroy you as a human being".

INTRODUCTION
HI!!!! I am a doctor from India and have heard about blogs for a long time and this is my first attempt at it. So here it goes.
Ever thought about those snobs who think that they are damn smart simply because they have read some obscure classic novel? Well i have always believed that a classic novel is one that every one praises but nobody reads. What is a classic novel? Is it the language that makes it so? Or is the plot? If it is the plot , then i think no classic can beat Michael Crichton or Frederick Forsyth for sheer plot. Or is it its closeness to reality? Then in that case any novel is always a figment of our imagination which is in the end based on relaity. So there is my question of the day. What makes a book or novel classic? Hmmm. One of the many questions that you are going to find on my blogs. Life is full of questions. And the answer is not half as good as the effort in trying to find it.
